All GP practices are contracted to provide basic treatment of ill people. Here at spring lane surgery we also provide the following services:

Minor Operations Clinic
The surgery will offer a service to those patients with minor skin lesions that require removal. We also offer Cryotherapy & joint injections.

Diabetic Clinic
The practice offers a comprehensive diabetic review for all patients on an annual basis.

Asthma/Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Clinic
Spring Lane offers annual reviews with assessment of respiratory function and follow up doctor review if required.

Child Health Clinic
These are run by the Health Visitors at Radcliffe Primary Care Centre, but all immunisations and baby checks are done at the surgery. Ask the receptionist for further details.

Flu/Vaccination Clinic
The practice will invite those patients eligible for flu immunisation to attend every September/October. The risk groups to which the flu vaccine is offered include the over 65s, anyone with heart disease, lung disease, kidney disease, diabetes and the immunocompromised. Childhood flu vaccinations will only be offered after discussion with a GP. The practice also encourages the uptake of the pneumococcal vaccine.

NHS Health Checks
The surgery will invite eligible patients between 40-74 who we deem to require a comprehensive lifestyle assessment.

Smoking Cessation Advice

Bury smoking cessation service is available and can book appointments for you in groups or individually.  Please ring 0845 223 9001.

 

Well Woman
Cervical Smears: We encourage routine cervical smears and we will remind you when your next test is due.

Family Planning
We offer information, advice and support for all forms of contraception to any of our patients.

Sexual Health
We offer testing information, advice and support.

Maternity Services
The practice offers maternity services, sharing antenatal care with our local hospitals and community midwives.

Childhood Immunisations
Please remember to bring your red book. All new children should provide their immunisation record when registering.

If you are booking an appointment for a smear, health check, immunisation or special medical assessment, please tell the receptionist. They will be able to give you an appointment of the correct length and in the right clinic.
